Biography
He was born in Ankara in 1933. In 1954, he graduated from the Department of Painting at the Istanbul State Academy of Fine Arts. In 1959, he went to Florence with a scholarship from the Italian government and studied fresco and mosaic with Professor Collaccki at the academy. Between 1960 and 1967, he settled in Rome and established his studio. He held many exhibitions abroad. In 1963, he created an 11-square-meter mosaic wall painting for Ziraat Bank in Ankara. He returned to Turkey in 1966. Between 1976 and 1983, he served as art consultant and manager of the Vakko Art Gallery in Ankara. In 1983, he founded the MİGE Art Gallery in Ankara with Mine Özman. In 1994, he created the "Freedom Monument" in Mersin. In 1995, he created the "Orange Tree" monument. From 1994 to 2000, he served as art consultant for the Replika Art Gallery in Istanbul. His works are in private collections in various countries around the world and in Turkey. He currently lives in Mersin as a freelance artist and continues his work in his own studio.
