Biography
Born in 1952 in Oltu district of Erzurum, she became a student of Sadi Diren under the supervision of Beril Anılanmert at the Istanbul State Academy of Fine Arts in 1971. She graduated from the Ceramics Department of the Istanbul State Academy of Fine Arts in 1977. In 2002, she participated in the establishment of the Faculty of Fine Arts at Akdeniz University in Antalya and began working as a lecturer in the Ceramics Department. In 1993, all of her works from a one-month workshop with the renowned Japanese ceramic artist Kenji Kato were exhibited at an international workshop organized by the Antalya Governorship, which included 55 artists. The artist, who has contributed art ceramics to over 150 architectural projects, participated in ceramic exhibitions of Çanakkale Seramik in 2001-2002. Her works are also featured in the Çanakkale Ceramic Museum. She received the "Artist of the Year 2001" award from the Antalya Businessmen's Association and the Antalya Rotary Club. She is also a founding member of the Antalya Culture and Arts Foundation and continues her work in her own studio.
