Biography
Abdurrahman Kaplan was born in Karaman in 1947. After attending the Painting Seminars at Çapa Teacher Training School between 1963 and 1967, he graduated from the Painting and Sculpture Department of Gazi Education Institute in 1970. He held his first solo exhibition in 1970 at the Prime Ministry Culture Undersecretariat Gallery in Ankara. Between 1970 and 1972, he worked as a painting teacher in Konya and Kırşehir. Abdurrahman Kaplan created 14 original print works on the theme of "Culture, History, Space," and held 25 solo painting and print exhibitions. Throughout his artistic career, Kaplan has held numerous solo exhibitions and participated in group exhibitions. In 1999, he created original print works at the Çamlıca Art House. In 2004, he founded the Painting House in Ankara, where he continues to live and work.
