Biography
Born in Akçaköy, Lüleburgaz in 1948, she completed her secondary education at Kepirtepe Primary Teacher Training School and the Istanbul Primary Teacher Training School Art Seminar. After working as a primary school teacher for one year, she entered the Painting Department of Istanbul Education Institute in 1967 with top marks. Between 1970 and 1974, she worked as a painting teacher at Urfa Girls' Teacher Training School. In 1974, she passed the examination held by the Ministry of National Education and was appointed as a teacher in the Graphic Arts Department of the Painting Section at Istanbul Atatürk Education Institute. From 1980 to 1982, she worked in the Painting Department of Atatürk Higher Teacher Training School. With the institution's affiliation with Marmara University in 1983, she began her academic career. She became an associate professor in 1987. Since 1970, she has participated in more than 100 group and mixed exhibitions and held 25 solo exhibitions. He has also participated in art events and exhibited his works in Graz, Austria; Drama, Greece; Chisinau, Moldova; Paris, France; Nuremberg, Germany; and Nicosia and Famagusta in Northern Cyprus. Since 2000, he has taken his own collection of works by professional printmakers to 12 universities offering art education, demonstrating lithography and engraving techniques. He has served on the jury of the Trakya University Contemporary Arts Museum in Edirne and various competitive exhibitions.
The artist, whose works are included in collections and museums both in Turkey and abroad, currently continues his work as a faculty member at the Faculty of Fine Arts of Işık University.
