Biography
My longest-lasting passion, photography, began as a hobby in 1968 with my first Woiglhänder 35 mm Leica camera. I held my first solo exhibition in Antalya in 1979, and the following year, I founded the Antalya Municipality Photography Club, bringing together numerous amateur artists and organizing courses, seminars, and photography days. In 1980, I held my second solo exhibition at Galeri Güderi in Antalya. I also gave dozens of presentations. I was part of Group "A" with fellow artists who shared a passion for photography. With Group "A," I participated in joint exhibitions in Antalya and various other cities. This group was the beginning of the establishment process of "ANFAD" (Antalya Photography and Cinema Amateurs Association). I gave slide shows at art associations in many cities across Turkey. My works have been featured in tourism magazines and catalogs. My articles and photographic works have been published in various photography magazines. I served as the Antalya representative for Refo Photography Art magazine. Many of my works have been selected for exhibition in national and international photography competitions. I have served as a jury member in numerous photography competitions. I participated in the “AKSEKİ BASIN” project, a collaboration between the Çekül Foundation and the Chamber of Architects, and 40 of my photographs are permanently exhibited at the Akseki City Museum. Currently, I work as an instructor at Akdeniz University's Faculty of Physical Education and Sports. I founded the Akdeniz University Photography Club in 1983 and served as its academic president until 2011. I organized joint exhibitions with national and international artists at my university and mentored many young photographers.
