Biography
Halil Gören is a contemporary painter who brings the history of Gaziantep and Barak culture to his paintings. Within the scope of the Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality, he depicted the city's lost historical structures and old city scenes on walls using archival photographs. After approximately ten years of work, he opened the "Heroes of the Gaziantep Defense" exhibition in 2021, where he portrayed 100 heroes of the Antep Defense using charcoal techniques; his solo exhibition titled "Pastoral Traces of Lost Times: Barak" also demonstrates the artist's continued focus on Barak culture. It is registered in the gallery archive as #186 | International Artists Union Association Exhibition, dated 01.11.2025-30.11.2025.
