Biography
Ilya Kaverznev is a Russian painter born in Riga in 1962. A graduate of the Surikov Moscow State Academic Institute of Art, he has produced works in the classical academic style, particularly in religious subjects, portraits, still life, and landscapes. From 1993 to 1997, he studied at the Painting Creativity Workshop of the Russian Academy of Arts, and from 2003 to 2006, he contributed to the renovation of the interior and wall paintings of the Sophia Cathedral in Moscow.
