Biography
Born in Antalya in 1951, she graduated first in her class from the Istanbul State Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Ceramics in 1976. In 1978, she married her studio colleague Tufan Dağıstanlı and began her artistic work in Antalya. In 1980, she continued her ceramic work in government buildings. In 1999, combining her experience in jewelry design with ceramics, she opened her first exhibition, "Jeweled Bowls," at the Orkun&Ozan Art Gallery. In 2000, she exhibited "Jeweled Bowls" at the Tolga Eti Art Gallery and the Lütfü Kırdar Cultural Center. In 2003, she presented "Jeweled Bowls" to German art lovers in Stuttgart, Germany. In 2004, she opened the "Nicosia Cultural House" exhibition in Cyprus with her "Jeweled Bowls." Having participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions to date, the artist currently continues her work in her own studio in Antalya.
