Biography
Prof. Dr. Sibel Avcı Tuğal graduated from Istanbul Technical University, Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering in 1985. She completed her master's degree in Art Theory and Criticism at Işık University, her proficiency in art studies in Cinema-TV at Beykent University, and her doctorate in Art Science at Işık University. Tuğal, who serves as a faculty member and head of the Visual Communication Design Department at the Faculty of Art, Design and Architecture at Işık University, works on interdisciplinary art, painting, printmaking, digital art, museology, and the digitalization of cultural heritage. The artist, who has published books and academic works including "Op Art in the Process of Formation" and "Digital Art in the Process of Formation," has presented her digital print and digital painting works in numerous solo, national, and international exhibitions.
