Current sales model
The v2 website currently has no automated cart, online payment or checkout that itself concludes a distance-sale contract. Artwork pages may display availability or price information, but acquisitions are completed only after direct communication and written confirmation from the gallery.
Before a sale
For an actual transaction, current availability, artwork details, price, taxes, delivery/collection, insurance/shipping and applicable withdrawal/return conditions will be disclosed according to the transaction type before conclusion.
Mandatory rights
Any mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected. Rules can differ for customised works, auctions, in-person sales and distance contracts, so the specific sale documentation governs.
Future checkout
Before online checkout is activated, pre-contract information, distance-sales terms, delivery, withdrawal and return processes must be integrated into the site.
